Michelle Scorey (nee Sims) launched Simply Speaking in 2005. We boast a wealth of experience with specific interests in Speech & Language impairments and Stammering. Therapists have had additional training in Makaton, Lidcombe therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Talk-Tools, Cued Articulation, The Derbyshire Language Scheme and PECS to name a few. We are able to offer flexible appointment slots including weekends.

We provide services to individual children at the clinic (including school/home/preschool visits) and bespoke services to Sure Start Children's Centres.

Michelle graduated from Sheffield University in 2002 after completing a four year degree in Speech and Language Therapy at the university’s medical school.

During her graduation Michelle was presented with the prestigious “Tracey E. Cox Memorial Prize for Distinguished Performance in Clinical Practice Section of Part I and II”.

Since which Michelle has worked for Portsmouth City PCT (NHS) in the paediatric (children’s) department, and continues to work on behalf of “Park Families” a charity in Leigh Park that provides services to local Children’s Centres.
