Children's Centres

Simply Speaking UK Limited currently provides bespoke contracts to various Children’s Centres, and schools across Hampshire.

Much of our work involves training staff and devising and implementing preventative initiatives. The Children’s Centre agenda acknowledges the link between early language skills and outcomes for children. We believe if we can support children and families via early intervention we will give children the best start possible.

We are currently running:

•   “Toddler Talk”: a programme for children 20-30 months who are at risk of language delay.

•   “Baby Signing”: a programme for babies 6-18 months to support the development of early communication skills.

•   “The Positive Interaction Project”: a training programme for staff delivering the EYFS to support language and behaviour.

•   “Parents Plus”: a programme to support communication and behaviour of children 1-6 years.

•   “Narrative Approaches”: a structured therapy programme to support the development of language skills for children 3-11 years.

Further to the above, we also run advice drop ins, staff inset training days, and can create promotional pieces, for example, “Millie and her dummy” which is a short story to help reduce dummy use in children over 1 year.

A large proportion of this work is on behalf of the charity “Park Families” based in Leigh Park.
